Officials said on Wednesday that the Greek police arrested a 21 -year -old American citizen that the American authorities want to claim to participate in the online network dedicated to sexual exploitation of minors.
The suspect was detained on Tuesday in the city of Saloniki, based on an international arrest warrant and a request for delivery from the United States.
It was not called according to Greek law.
American prosecutors describe the organization behind the network as nihilistic and violent, with sexual assaults on minors and online distribution of exploitative materials.
Prosecutors said that Group 764 is a violent nihilistic network (NVE). According to the linear testimony in the province of Colombia, 764 is “a network of concerned extremists who are involved in specially behavior in the United States and abroad, and they seek to destroy civilized society through corruption and the exploitation of the population exposed to the population, which often includes the palace.”
Public Prosecutor Bondi said: “These defendants are accused of organizing one of the most common exploitation institutions on the Internet that we have ever faced – a network based on terrorism, ill -treatment, and deliberate targeting for children.” “We will find those who take advantage of children, their use, prosecution, and dismantle every part of their work.”
“The charges against these issues are our determination to dismantle violent networks that seek to destroy the civilized society,” said Washington’s official director of the FBI office. “We are not done until justice is restored to all affected victims.”
The Greek police said in a statement that the alleged crimes occurred between December 2023 and April this year and are also punished under Greek law.
The suspect appeared in front of the appeal prosecutor on Wednesday.
He denies all allegations and officially opposed delivery, according to the Greek judicial authorities.
He will remain in detention until the Court of Appeal decided in the coming weeks whether it will be granted a request to hand over the United States.
