Sir Kerr Starmer pledged a wave of new investments to convert the armed forces into a “huge and integrated fighting machine” as part of the government defense review.
The Prime Minister said he will invest in an army “more integrated, more willing and deadly than ever.”
As part of the review, scheduled to be published on Monday, the government pledged 1.5 billion pounds to establish at least six factories, and will support the purchase of up to 7,000 long -term weapons made by the United Kingdom.
This step is in response to the review invitation for the “always” ammunition production capacity, which can be rapidly expanded.

The new financing will witness that the UK munitions will spend 6 billion pounds during this parliament and support about 1,800 jobs throughout the country.
Sir Kerr launched a “radical plan” that would push investments forward in shipbuilding, drone technology and electronic defenses.
Preparing for tomorrow’s threats means “combining all the ability we have, from drones, to artillery, to human instinct and intelligence, to one integrated fighting machine”, written in The Sun.
“To achieve this, we announce a wave of new investments in our armed forces across land, air and sea.”
He said that the Labor Party will end the “cavity of the armed forces.”
“We will invest in a more integrated, more willing, and more deadly combat force than ever – Britain has restored its place as a defense leader and a NATO leader.
“We will provide a better group for our warriors when they fight abroad – so that they can use a full range of traditional and technological capabilities.”
Defense Secretary John Healy said that the government will embrace the recommendations in the review and make the defense a “engine of economic growth.”
The Ministry of Defense will urge the industrial foundations to enhance weapons stocks to meet the demand for “high -rhythmic” war.
More than 1.5 billion pounds in additional financing will go to military homes in response to the review.
Criticism will be spent on urgent reforms such as boiler repair, surfaces and other issues including moisture treatment.
“Our forces offer unusual sacrifices to maintain our safety and to serve this country, however for years, their families forced us to live in homes below the required level.”
Conservatives have criticized investment in ammunition factories very slow.
The Minister of Defense in the shadow, James Carridge, said that the consultant used a strategic defense review to put a “effective freezing” on new orders for the military group.
He said: “It is a bit rich to talk about the production of munitions when the purchases were largely stopped during the past year.”
He added: “Of course, we welcome investing in new ammunition factories, but we do not know when they will be ready, only that these requests should have been submitted months ago.
“In the end, we need to see a greater ambition for the speed and size of the reinforcement of our armed forces, given the threats we face and the need to replace the talented stock to Ukraine.
“This means 3 % of GDP by the end of this parliament, and working properly gives priority to defensive spending – instead of seeking to overcome reform on social welfare.”
