On Sunday, the authorities said that three patients were killed and many people were critically injured, in a fire that broke out overnight in a hospital in the German city of Hamburg.
The firefighters were alerted to the fire in the hospital, Marienkrankenhaus, shortly after midnight.
He broke out in a room in the aging wing, on the ground floor of the building, and spread to the front of the floor. Smoke spread across the four building floors.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.


The Ministry of Fire said that three adult patients were killed and more than 50 people were injured, according to the German news agency DPA.
Among them, two of the life threatening, 16 serious injuries and 36 were slightly harmed.
A section of the hospital had to be evacuated. Patients were treated either in the same hospital or in nearby clinics.
The fire was extinguished within about 20 minutes.
