To the right, Amie Provido led a strong defensive performance by La Salle against UAAP 87 for women in volleyball
Manila, the Philippine-La Salle boasts its massive front line led by Amie Provido to determine 20 pieces of the season in a decisive victory over the University of Santo Thomas in the ladies volleyball championship in the UAP season on Wednesday.
Provido established the defensive performance of its powerful team with five killing blocks, where the second seeded Lady Spikers and the last four bonus twice to periods.
“This means a lot because my colleagues trust me. Frankly, before, I was not sure of my ban. But with the help of Coach Nawil and the entire training staff, who really worked with me, I managed to attract strength from that. This helped me believe that I could do that,” said Provido in the Filipino after completing 10 points on 23-25, 25-20, 30-28, 29-28, 29, 29, 29 -27.

Provevo, in her third year, said that Lady Spickers had extracted from their previous losses.
“I am only really happy with how the team appears today. Everyone has really shown that they want it – they played with a heart. So I made my best to them, and they were in fact a incentive, along with the coaches. She added that the difference now is that we are more confident – not only in ourselves, but in each other.
Los Angeles Angelus Coach Noel Orkolo said the upper in the blocs was about “timing”.
“We always tell the players that blocking them is not only a length – it is everything related to timing. It is about how to read The Setter, how they will set the ball, and how SPIKER plans to attack.

“He begins to read The Setter, then follow the ball as it has been appointed, and finally, he monitors how Spiker approaches and strikes him. This is how you read your opponent and get the perfect timing of the bloc.”
After a strong offer in the qualifiers, Provido emphasized that the job was not performed as Lady Spikes seeks to maintain its good shape in the fourth final against UST on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“We really have to fix our mistakes, especially our service errors. There were very large number today. We need to work on this because the upcoming matches will be more important.”
