At least seven people died after a bridge on the highway collapsed in an area near the Ukrainian border, according to Russian emergency services.
The bridge in Brigansk fell many heavy trucks on a mobile passenger train, with 30 people, including two children, wounds.
The Russian Emergency Ministry said that the fire and rescue units were trying to find people traveling on the train.
In a statement published in Telegram, Moscow claimed a railway that the bridge had collapsed “as a result of illegal intervention in transportation operations.”
“Unfortunately, there are seven deaths,” local ruler Alexander Bogomaz said in a telegram.
He added that all the victims have been transferred to the medical facilities in the Bianank area.
The Moscow Transport Prosecutor’s Office said that the investigation had been launched.
The additional emergency workers were sent, as well as rescue equipment and light towers to carry out the work at night to the area, according to the Russian News Agency Tass.
The pictures on the Internet showed distorted vehicles and passengers helping each other to climb from the debris in the dark.
The accident occurred about 100 km (62 miles) from the Ukrainian border.
