Conservatives called on some prison officers to reach firearms to counter “out of control” on Islamic gangs and violent prisoners.
The Minister of Justice in the shadow, Robert Jenrik, said that the specialized teams should be armed with Tasers, thunderbolt bombs, and in some cases, fatal weapons.
He also called for the provision of high -collars jackets for front -lines officers immediately, citing the threat of prisoners after the recent attacks on prison officers.
“Islamic gangs and violent prisoners in our prisons are out of control. It is an emergency of national security, but the government is flowing.
“If they do not act soon, there is a very real danger from the kidnapping of the prison officer or his killing in a duty position, or that a terrorist attack is directed from inside the prison,” he wrote in the Telegraph.
He said that he assigned the former prison governor Ian Atcheson for a quick review.
“We have to stop overcoming Islamic extremists and violent criminals in prisons,” he wrote.
This means that the prison officers’ teams specialized in arming with TASERS and STAN hand grenades, as well as giving them access to deadly weapons in exceptional circumstances.
“If prison governors cannot easily keep terrorist influencers and extremist inmates, regardless of the main prisoners who target them, we do not control our prisons – we must regain control and restore the regime by granting the officers the powers and protection they need.”
It comes after attacks by prominent prisoners.
Manchester Arena Hashem Abedi targeted prison staff with boiling weapons and homemade weapons in a planned ambush last month.
Soutbort Axel’s killer is allegedly attacked the prison officer at HMP Belmarsh earlier this month by pouring boiling water on it.
The Minister of Justice ordered a young Mahmoud to review the surprise whether the stab wounds should be used more routinely, and the trial that will be granted to grant specialized officers dealing with serious accidents this summer will be launched.
The officers already have the arrival of the rabies and the Pava spray, an artificial form of pepper spray, in men’s prisons in the public sector.

“The last government added only 500 cells to our prison property, left our prisons in a total crisis. In fourteen years, they closed 1,600 cells in the estate with severe security, the staff attacks rose, and left experienced officers.
“This government cleans the chaos left by the recent government. We are building new prisons, with 2400 new cells have been opened since we took office. We are following an absolute approach to violence and extremism at home.”
