The state of emergency has been announced with air traffic control to deal with the priority of the plane.
“There is nothing more important than the safety of our customers and our crew. The journey crew followed the procedures and returned safely to the gate,” Delta said in a statement. “We apologize to our customers for delaying their travel plans.”
The plane is a Boeing 767-400 plane with two pilots, seven flight attendants and 226 passengers.
Delta said the trip was safe and hit the gate under its own authority. Each on the plane naturally left the plane.
Delta said that the local firefighting administration examined the plane as a protective measure for safety, and will examine maintenance teams in the airline.
Passengers will be sent to their final destinations on a new plane.
