Obiena defended the Asian Athletics Championship in Jumi, South Korea for a third consecutive gold medal in the continental mile.

The Olympic won twice in Dubai in 2019 before it was repeated in 2023 in Bangkok, where the Asian Championship record was set at 5.91 million.
“A three -peat Asian hero!” Obieena wrote in its latest Instagram post, showing the latest addition to the stacked hardware wardrobe.
Obieena wiped 5.77 meters in its first attempt to secure gold, defeating the Chinese Huang Bokai in jumping.
