Iowa Republican Governor Kim Reynolds has signed a bill on Friday that removes the protection of transgender people in the state’s civil law law.
Although every state does not have protection for transgender people, Democrats in Iowa added them to the Civil Rights Law in 2007.
Iowa is the first country to remove the protection of sexual identity from the civil rights law in the state.
The new law follows President Donald Trump’s executive orders only to identify two sexes, as sex changes and restricting people crossing the army, as well as government efforts to ban transit women from women’s bathrooms and women’s sports.
Trump is to restrict sex change procedures for a minor in line with “do not harm”.

Reynolds described the bill in a video you downloaded to X on Friday.
She said: “Today I am logging into a draft law that protects the rights of women and girls.” “It makes sense to recognize clear biological differences between men and women. In fact, it is necessary to secure real equal protection for girls. This is why we have bathrooms of men and women, but not conference halls for men and women. Sports girls and boys, but not girls’ mathematics. ”
“This logical protection was in danger because before the signing of this bill, the Civil Rights Law is not clear biological line between the sexes,” she said.

She added that every state of Iwan, “without exception, deserves respect and dignity. We are all sons of God and the law does not change that.”
Trump referred to his approval of the law on Thursday, shortly before his signing.
