Dubai, United Arab Emirates-The Iranian Foreign Minister spoke by phone with the director of the United Nations Nuclear Monitoring Agency early Sunday morning after a report from the agency said that Iran increases its warehouse of enriched uranium to levels of weapons close to weapons.
Abbas Aragichi, who writes about a telegram, said that he stressed the “continuous cooperation” of Iran in his conversation with Raphael Mariano Groste, head of the Vienna International Atomic Energy Agency, which is based in Vienna. The International Atomic Energy Agency did not immediately respond to a request to comment on the phone call.
The International Atomic Energy Agency report, which was seen by the Associated Press on Saturday, sparked a strict warning, saying that Iran is now “the only non-nuclear weapon country that produces such materials”-an order that the agency said is “a serious concern.”
Araghchi confirmed to Grossi that all Iran’s nuclear activities are within the framework of agreements and their monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency. The International Atomic Energy Agency said in a separate report that Iran’s cooperation with the agency was “less than satisfactory” when it was related to the effects of uranium discovered by the IAEA inspectors in several locations in Iran, as Tehran failed to announce as nuclear sites.
Araghchi also asked Grossi to ensure that “some parties do not use the agency for political agendas against the Iranian people.” European countries can take other steps against Iran based on the comprehensive report, which leads to a possible escalation of tensions between Iran and the West.
On Sunday, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister published a detailed response, and rejected many of the report’s results. Kazim Garibadi indicated that among the inspections of 682 out of 32 states, 493 states were carried out in Iran alone.
“As long as the nuclear activities of a country under the surveillance of the International Atomic Energy Agency, there is no cause for concern,” he said. “The Islamic Republic of Iran does not follow nuclear weapons and does not have any uncomplicated nuclear materials or activities.”
As of May 17, the International Atomic Energy Agency report said that Iran collected 408.6 kg (900.8 pounds) of enriched uranium by up to 60 %.
This is almost 50 % since the recent report of the International Atomic Energy Agency in February. 60 % fertilized materials are a short technical step away from 90 % weapons degree levels.
The phone conversation between Aragici and Norosi came hours after the Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al -Busididi, who mediates at the United States’ talks, visited Tehran on Saturday to submit the latest proposal to the United States for the ongoing talks.
The US talks are trying to limit the Iranian nuclear program in exchange for lifting some overwhelming economic sanctions imposed by the United States on the Islamic Republic, which has strained tense relations for nearly 50 years. Al -Busadi said at the time that the fifth round of the talks between the United States and Iran ended in Rome last week with “some progress, not decisive.”
