Los Angeles Pass said that the curfew in a part of the center of Los Angeles will remain in effect on Saturday night, when multiple protests are expected in the city.
She said: “Hundreds of additional employees are filled and proactive to maintain people’s safety and protect property.”
She said that Friday’s protests were peaceful with very few arrests.
“We have no tolerance with anyone who harms property or puts officers or people at risk,” Bass stressed, “Please, do not give management an excuse for intervention. Let’s make sure that we show the world the best in Los Angeles, and our country.”
“If you are here in Los Angeles today to make your voice hear through peaceful demonstrations, we are here to protect you. But if you come with the intention of committing a crime or damaging others, including our officers, you will be arrested … we ask everyone who plans to participate in today’s events to do it smoothly and with respect.”
Since June 7, LAPD has said that 523 had been arrested regarding the protest activity.
