Two years ago, I traveled to arrest the phrase from Cleggan Pier to InishBofin, and I will never forget to drive after Galway was overcome, heading towards Clifden via Maam Cross. The beauty of the absolute landscape took my breath.
So when the chance came out on a Connemara trip, I jumped on it. The first station: the unique Leenane village and the establishment of two nights in the Delphi resort, tucked in the amazing Delphi Valley on the northern beach of Killary Fjord, the only strait in Ireland.
If you like resorts outside the ugly track, are packed with things for families to do and hide them in the heart of the Connemara mountains, Delphi Resort is an ideal option. He reveals himself about a curved road, and while driving the car, it seems to be as if he was entering into a scene from the hobbite.
The exterior of the hotel is very magical, with two front windows that resemble eyes and a curved facade built of wood, heroism and concrete rocks. There are endless angles and corners for children to explore – but somehow ends up to the reception.
Eating first degree is what you can expect here with a large collection of food options in the restaurant and also in the bar that is fully washed with a distinctive cocktail. There is a great library where you can go to spend some quiet time while watching children on the field, from the comfort of a comfortable arms chair.
What I love most about this hotel is that it is not just a stay, it is an adventure break. With more than 20 activities for both children and adults, there is something for everyone.
There is rowing on the murder strait, postal code, swamp obstacle cycle, mountain bicycle ride, tunnel, long -distance walking, operation, and Bouchartga – the menu lengthens. You should never hear the phrase “I feel bored” of children while they are here.
If the adventure is not something, adults can relax in Delphi spa, taking amazing mountain views of a great jacuzzi comfort.
There is a great mixture of accommodation as well, from model housing similar to the youth house to the spacious balcony wings to the two -storey wings perfect for large families, and are ideal for bringing grandparents. The wings consisting of two beds can sleep up to seven, spoilers and warm.
Echo inner designs are beauty abroad, with dirt tones and soft textures, while features such as the walls of the gray menu in the courtyard are brilliantly mixed in the scene in the unique hotel design. What I found more inspiration here was the cultural mix of Hub Hub for hospitality and adventure. The team is a mixture of nationalities from all over the world and it was great to hear about all their experiences and stories.
You can say they loved their jobs and working on this beautiful site. Delphi was founded in 1982 and began as an adventure place for local children and expanded over the years. Many returning customers are a testimony of what this hotel means to many families and generations who have returned year after year.
This hotel is strongly recommended for families and I look forward to the visit again. The only negative is that we wanted more time, so it aims for five days, if you plan to visit in the summer.
The Connemara Sands Hotel was our next stop. We took the Connemara Loop engine towards Clifden and added a stop on the amazing Bay’s Bay beach.
This beach is a 20 -minute drive from the Connemara Sands Hotel and an hour from the Delphi Resort Hotel. It deserves a visit and recommended to stop in the village of Roundstone Strain in a cup, ice cream or half a liter of the Guinness Encyclopedia.
Dog’s Bay Beach contains white sands that I have seen in Ireland and the sea is the blue Aqua on a good sunny day. Quick retreat and a hot wife and we were on our way to the hotel. I can see how this part of Galway is an artist’s dream with the mountains that seem to continue forever. The charming villages like Lennan will keep you fond of their scenic locations and Kitsch stores on the side of the roads.
My first impression on the Connemara Sands Hotel was at a giant beach house where all family members came to meet for the weekend. The continuous flow of the next people and goes to be a famous place. You have a mixture of coastal feelings on sandy beaches, and stunning mountainous engines on winding roads while driving across the charming villages rich in history, and they have little of everything that is authentic and traditional around Galway. Don’t forget to search for the beautiful dowries, as well, directly from the hotel window over the Bay of Mannin.
The furnishings are a mixture of bright and vibrant red ziberglass and dirt colors while they remain bright and renewed throughout the hotel. There is a real mix of tradition and talk. Circular mirrors and porcols throughout the hotel make you feel on a ship and stop in a port in Konimara.
You cannot visit this hotel without experimenting with unique seaweed baths, outdoor Jacuzzi, diving bathrooms and mobile saunas located directly on the Bay of Manin, a short walk from the hotel. It is a unique luxury experience in the Connemara wilderness.
Whether you live in the valley that is amazing mountains, or beside a picturesque beach with snow color, there are many places to visit, or treat some self -care foods. For me it is a mixture of the two.
Children can run for free and exhaust themselves in the adventure park in Delphi Resort or I can soak it in a sea herbal bath overlooking the most amazing landscape in western Ireland. Everyone is happy.
