One of the hikers discovered a severe body on Saturday near the Stone Mountain Park summit, a famous tourist destination in Georgia.
The Stone Mountain Park Police Department responded to the 911 call, which came at about 8:18 am from the wandering, who said they found the dead male body under a rocky incision in the garden near the top of the mountain, Fox 5 Reports.
The messengers did not get the caller’s identity, so they reached the garden, with a focus on their search on a wooded area near the top of the mountain.
The area is located a few hundred feet from the Skyride Cable, which transmits visitors to the top, according to the port.
“The body was under a malfunction, a rocky accumulation, and someone was accumulating on the rocks in front of the overlap to make it very special,” said John Bankaid from The Stone Mountain PD.
He added: “It is a number of rocks, as you know, you see all over the region of the mountain. It is not in an area where hikers usually go. You know, far away. People do not know that they are present.”
The sudden discovery has caused Skyride to close for several hours, but it has been reopened from then until the time of this post. The park continues to allow visitors to reach the tracks.
The identity of the deceased man and the date of death are unknown at this time. His body will be sent to the medical examiner office in Dikaleb Province for an autopsy.
Investigators said they want to speak to the caller 911 or anyone else who has information about this issue, according to the exit reports.
Officials said that the public should not be concerned about their safety in the garden.

“I haven’t seen anything like him, and I do not remember anything like this that is happening in the garden,” said Bankaid.
